Mission
DfoG was formed to create a unified voice of people with learning disabilities in order to advocate for equalization of opportunities, involvement and participation in policy planning and implementation of learning disability programmes in close collaboration with governments, NGOs and general public to influence the provision of services in favour of learning disabled people.

Our Objectives
To ensure DfoG achieves its mission and provides comprehensive services to its users, the following main objectives have been developed:
Raise awareness of health and social needs, and on the rights and potential of the learning disabled in order to educate and help change society's negative, superstitious and insensitive attitudes and behaviour towards them.

DfoG is leading learning disability charity working with people with a learning disability and their families and carers. DfoG works collaboratively, fighting for equal rights, campaigning for greater opportunities and challenging attitudes and prejudice.

DfoG also provides help and support Day Opportunities, Advocacy, and support for Carers. DfoG provides advice and support to meet people's needs throughout their lives.
